Spindale, N.C.—White Oak Carpet Mills, a division of CAP Carpet, will invest $4.1 million to expand its operations in Spindale, N.C., according to Area Development.

The company will relocate its current operations to a 250,000-square-foot building that was constructed in 1973 and has been vacant for more than five years. The North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority has awarded Rutherford County a Building Reuse Program grant in the amount of $300,000 to support the building’s reuse.

In addition, White Oak received a performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund of up to $25,000. The program provides financial assistance through local governments to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state. The company plans to create 40 new jobs over the next three years.
