Calhoun, Ga.–Mohawk Group announced hat the company’s True rubber products have received a Declare label. Issued by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI), Declare labels provide manufacturers and specifiers of building materials with a clear, elegant and informative ‘nutrition-label’ that fully discloses all product ingredients.

“With the implementation of LEED v4, it is more important than ever before to provide our customers with complete, transparent ingredients information of our products, and the potential health impacts of the ingredients themselves,” said David Thoresen, senior vice president of hard surface at Mohawk Group. “The ILFI’s Declare label is an excellent platform to help us communicate product ingredients and health information, which ensures accurate and consistent reporting.”

Mohawk Group has an extensive transparency portfolio, including numerous Declare labels, Health Product Declarations (HPDs), and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) covering over 500 Red List Free products. These initiatives help architects, designers and end users make the right choice when specifying products that contribute to a healthy environment over their life cycle.

True Medi-Flex features smooth rubber tile and sheet flooring that are vibrant and versatile, and Ttue Textured Tiles are defined by visual profiles in round, hammered and slate finishes with outstanding color clarity. Mohawk’s True technology ensures that colors maintain original luster and hue, and will not fade over time, guaranteed under a 10-year colorfast warranty. Resilient, safe and beautifully colored, True rubber flooring is suitable for education, healthcare or retail environments with its durability, slip resistance and ease of maintenance.
