SALT LAKE CITY—When it came time for QFloors to celebrate its 10-year anniversary, the flooring software provider wanted to do something special for its users. That “special” thing was to make QFloors Mobile free.

“The past 10 years have been quite a ride,” said Chad Ogden, CEO of QFloors. “We wanted to do something to show our gratitude for the rewarding relationships we have fostered over the past decade.”

QFloors Mobile was launched in 2010 as an add-on feature in the QFloors Version 5.1 operating system. Utilizing the same familiar QFloors screens, it lets users run the QFloors system via a smart-phone such as iPhone, Windows Mobile and Android.

Using remote connection software such as Remote Desktop or GoToMyPC, the user can access his desktop back at the store. By simply clicking the QFloors Mobile icon, he can check inventory to see if an item is in stock, confirm pricing or schedules, make changes to an invoice and so on.

To activate QFloors Mobile there is normally a monthly subscription, but as an anniversary present QFloors is waiving it for all customers.

Making the Mobile add-on feature free is just another in a long line of benefits QFloors users get with the software, Ogden said. For instance, QFloors is the only industry software provider in which all B2B features are free.
