Atlanta, Ga.—LG Hausys Floors introduced Atmosphere, a new homogeneous sheet solution created to meet the rigorous health, safety and design requirements for health care environments. Featuring LG Hausys’ innovative new chip design, Atmosphere combines best-in-class durability, anti-bacterial properties and ease of maintenance with a palette of fresh and uplifting colors, the company said.

“Atmosphere takes homogeneous sheet flooring to a new and more sophisticated level,” said Carol Lee, marketing communications manager. “We’re excited to offer designers a fresh color palette with mix-and-match capabilities to create the spaces they need for their clients and the occupants of those spaces. We’re seeking to re-invigorate the health care atmosphere with new hues of color to help heal the mind and soul during such difficult times for so many people.”

Designers and health care facility professionals can choose from more than 16 colors, each of which were curated for their ability to foster human wellness and relaxation. The colors can be coordinated and grouped together to bring a more dynamic look or functional intent to any space. The coordinating colors can also assist with wayfinding and creating designated areas where social distance and separation is needed.

Manufactured with a highly dense web-structured coating, Atmosphere reaches the highest durability standards, enabling it to stand-up to the most demanding 24/7 health care environments, according to the company. With LG’s Ultra Clean UV Surface Treatment, it features an anti-bacterial treatment that is said to eliminate and prevent bacteria from mutating. It is also slip resistant, scratch resistant and stain resistant to such common health care elements as iodine and betadine. It requires no polishing or waxing to maintain its premium appearance, making it an even more maintenance-friendly flooring solution.

Adhering to LG Hausys’s vision for creating human-friendly and eco-conscious living spaces, the company said, Atmosphere is 100% FloorScore certified for low VOCs. It is also phthalate- and heavy metal-free. Atmosphere also comes with a Health Product Declaration (HPD).
