DALTON—Training magazine has again recognized Mohawk Industries as one of the “Top 125” training organizations. This is the seventh straight year Mohawk has ranked on the list, which evaluates excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. Mohawk was honored for a multitude of corporate training efforts, including Mohawk University, which provides retailers with world-class training, education and business management resources.

“The value of continued education and quality training programs cannot be overstated, particularly in this economic climate,” said Mike Zoellner, vice president of marketing services at Mohawk. “Continual learning is the key to staying competitive, and Training magazine’s “Top 125” ranking gives retailers full assurance that they receive the very best training available when they partner with Mohawk.”

The Top 125 ranking criteria were more stringent than in previous years, according to the magazine. They required even more specific evidence of the effectiveness of training programs and their role in the achievement of corporate strategic goals, he explained

“Knowing that the selection process was tougher this year makes the recognition mean even more,” added Zoellner. “It shows we are on the right track with our newest Mohawk University offerings, designed to deliver bottom-line results and improve store profitability.”

Other notable companies to receive the Training magazine Top 125 ranking include Bank of America, Best Buy Co., Inc., Microsoft, Verizon, and UPS.
