Tarkett and NRF Distributors have announced an extension of its partnership that it will include representation of all commercial products under the Johnsonite brand and all residential products under the Tarkett brand. NRF will represent the expanded Tarkett portfolio across a region that includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania.

“We believe that our flooring solutions have a measurable, positive impact on how people experience the environments in which they live, learn, work and play,” stated Jeff Buttitta, president of Tarkett North America. “This experience only exists with the help of strong local partners that share the same vision of customer service and innovation. We have been proud to have NRF as a successful partner for over 30 years, jointly building a strong position in the market with our Johnsonite brand of coordinated portfolio of solutions, unmatched logistics and a passion for customer service. By offering the NRF team an expanded portfolio in an expanded region, we believe both NRF and Tarkett will experience an even greater future.”

“The foundation of our business and our success has been an entrepreneurial spirit, a desire for innovation and a belief that we must always provide outstanding service for our customers,” stated Norman Pomerleau, president of NRF. “In Tarkett, we have a partner that shares these beliefs and can leverage its global presence and local market understanding to meet the varying demands of both the residential and commercial customer. We have developed a successful partnership with the Tarkett North American team through our long-term support of Johnsonite, and we envision a broader and even more successful future built on innovation, technology, strong segment support and unparalleled customer service.”

NRF’s current representation of the traditional Johnsonite brand portfolio of accessories and rubber flooring will expand to include the Tarkett Collection (homogeneous, heterogeneous, LVT and linoleum flooring) and the Azrock Collection (VCT, VET, SVT) as well as the Tarkett Residential portfolio of Fiber Floor resilient sheet, traditional felt-backed resilient sheet, LVT and laminate. NRF will transition out of Mannington commercial and residential products in order to fully support their new Tarkett portfolio.

“Johnsonite’s integrated and coordinated portfolio of solutions has always strongly supported the needs of the commercial specifying community, and we are very excited to now be able to offer the full Johnsonite experience to our clients,” stated Terry Gray, executive vice president, NRF.  “We see this same level of customer experience being developed by Tarkett to satisfy the needs of the residential customer, and believe NRF can be instrumental in its execution in the Northeast.”

“We have continued to work enthusiastically together in building a strong Johnsonite presence in our territory through a joint focus on service for our customers,” stated Debbie Trudo, NRF vice president. “With Tarkett’s broad system of solutions and our unmatched local logistics, we see a positive future in building the NRF and Tarkett brands.”
