Johnson City, Tenn. – Mullican Flooring, a leading manufacturer of quality hardwood floors, has provided flooring for two episodes featured in the second season of “Flipping Boston,” a popular TV series on the A&E channel.
Mullican supplied products from its solid, ¾ -inch-thick Muirfield Collection for two different houses to be featured during the “Flipping Boston” new fall season.
Headquartered in Johnson City, Tenn., the company ranks among the nation’s top five hardwood flooring producers and operates additional manufacturing facilities in Norton, Va.; Holland, N.Y.; and Ronceverte, W.Va.
“Flipping Boston,” a remake of the previous “Flip This House” series, began airing in 2011. During each episode, contractors Peter Souhleris and Dave Seymour work furiously to complete high-end renovations in an effort to achieve a quick resale of homes in the Boston, Mass. area.
For the two A&E shows, Mullican provided 3,200 square feet of Muirfield maple bordeaux flooring for a house located in Middleton, Mass., and 3,478 square feet of Muirfield maple cappuccino for a second residence in Rockport, Mass. All Muirfield products are high-end and feature the company’s lifetime-warranty finish, Claritage Extra finish by PPG Industries.
“We are pleased our products are such a good fit for renovation projects like those featured on ‘Flipping Boston,’” says Neil Poland, president of Mullican Flooring. “It’s gratifying to see how the top designers and show producers use our floors to achieve such beautiful interiors.”
Television viewers can see the results of the Middleton renovation on Saturday, Oct. 20, at noon EST when the episode, titled “Stinks to High Heaven,” airs. The Rockport episode, titled “Dave’s Design Dilemma,” airs Saturday, Nov. 3, also at noon EST.
Reruns of “Flipping Boston” can be seen in various daytime and primetime slots throughout the week. The shows are also repeated on the Biography Channel, and video clips can be viewed online at www.aetv.com/flipping-boston/.
