For the second consecutive year, Feizy Rugs will serve as the foundation for the stars’ retreat on Hollywood’s most glamorous night.  The award winning designer, manufacturer and innovator of fine rugs will provide three pieces for the Architectural Digest Greenroom at the 85th Oscars.

“We are so proud to be a part of this celebrated event,” said John Feizy, founder and CEO.  “This is a wonderful start to a year in which we are marking our 40th anniversary.  Working with such a respected publication and one of the most talented and inspired designers in the industry today is truly a highlight for us as a company.”

A design from Feizy’s Channels Collection, 7276F Ivory, has been selected to anchor three separate spaces within the exclusive room.

This year’s Architectural Digest Greenroom, created by AD100 interior designer Madeline Stuart, features an Art Deco-influenced look. Inspired by Hollywood legend and 11-time Oscar winner Cedric Gibbons, the art director and production designer credited with designing the Oscar statuette, Stuart explains, “My design for the Architectural Digest Greenroom pays homage to his four decades of film designs.  My goal was to design a space where contemporary starts wouldn’t be surprised to bump into Cary Grant or Katherine Hepburn.”  Responsible for creating the backdrops for hundreds of classics such as The Thin Man, Gibson’s name was synonymous with Hollywood glamour.

This is the eleventh year that Architectural Digest will produce the exclusive backstage lounge for Oscar presenters and honorees.  With a host of talented designers since 2002 taking part, the greenrooms have ranged from luxe elegance to relaxed chic, but have all been inspired and memorable creations.
