Richmond, Va. — Federal authorities are executing a search warrant at the headquarters of Lumber Liquidators, one of this country’s largest hard surface retailers.
Department of Homeland Security spokesman Brandon Montgomery said Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations were executing the warrant Thursday afternoon at the company’s Toano, Va., headquarters. The warrant is being executed in coordination with U.S. Fish and Wildlife and the Department of Justice.
No other information about the details of the search was provided, and Montgomery said the warrant is sealed.
Homeland Security Investigations is “responsible for investigating a wide range of domestic and international activities arising from the illegal movement of people and goods into, within and out of the United States,” according to its website.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia did not immediately return a local newspaper’s phone message seeking comment, nor did a spokeswoman for Lumber Liquidators.
