Mohawk Group partners with Future Institute

Home News Mohawk Group partners with Future Institute

Calhoun, Ga.—The Mohawk Group said it is in a partnership with the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) as one of the organization’s transformative sponsors.
The ILFI is an international vision for community-driven transformation that offers green building and infrastructure solutions, global strategies for lasting sustainability, and administers the Living Building Challenge.

As one of the transformative sponsors, Mohawk Group will work with the ILFI to promote the Living Building Challenge, a green building certification program that defines the most advanced measure of sustainability for architecture and interior design.
The transformative sponsorship is a first step in the company’s participation with the ILFI demonstrating Mohawk Group’s commitment to the Living Building Challenge.

Both the ILFI and Mohawk Group have recently developed a continuing education unit course for architects and designers that is currently in the approval process by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) the American Institute of Architects, and the International Interior Design Association. The presentation focuses on the Living Building Challenge standard.
