St. Louis, Mo.—The National Wood Flooring Association’s (NWFA) Wood Flooring Expo, held April 28-May here, has continued its growth trend for the fourth year in a row. The 2015 Expo grew by 15%, with attendance holding steady against last year’s historic level reached in Nashville, Tenn.

The NWFA also announced the winners of its 2015 Wood Floor of the Year contest during an Industry Awards Ceremony held on Wednesday, April 29. The Wood Floor of the Year awards were developed to encourage and recognize innovative craftsmanship and design in wood flooring installations. Recipients of the 2015 Wood Floor of the Year awards are as follows:

 Best CNC/Laser Cut: Woodwright Hardwood Floor – Dallas

Best Commercial: Ourada Designs – Nine Mile Falls, Wash.

Best Limited Species: Real Antique Wood – Irvington, N.J.

Best Manufacturer Factory Finished: Gaylord Hardwood Flooring – Ontario

Best Reclaimed: Archetypal Imagery Corp. – Bronx, N.Y.

Best Residential: Ourada Designs – Nine Mile Falls, Wash.

Best Restoration: Yantarnaya Pryad-Parquet – Khimki, Russia

Members’ Choice: Real Antique Wood – Irvington, N.J.

In addition, the NWFA announced that 43 recipients of NWFA degrees were also honored on stage during the ceremony.
