spartanBjelin has teamed up with Spartan Surfaces, making the flooring supplier the national U.S. distribution partner for Bjelin’s commercial hardened wood range.

“Spartan Surfaces has grown immensely as a company over the last few years and offers a large network of sales reps,” said Zach Adams, Bjelin’s general manager for the U.S. “We have previously partnered with them in smaller territories and are excited to expand our collaboration. This partnership is in line with our expansion plans and demonstrates our commitment to the commercial sector.”

Spartan Surfaces is a modern flooring provider working closely with a wide range of commercial clients, from architects and designers to manufacturers and installers. The company is an experienced player in multiple sectors, such as education, corporate, retail, sports and fitness and hospitality.

“We aim to provide the commercial sector with access to innovative, state-of-the-art flooring solutions and are thrilled to add Bjelin’s commercial hardened wood range to our offering,” said Sean Swanson, VP of growth and strategy of Spartan Surfaces. “Flooring is key in the design process, and our mission is to make the choice easier for our customers.”

Packed with new technologies by sister company Välinge Innovation, such as Woodura, Bjelin’s commercial hardened wood floors are said to be 3x stronger than engineered wood floors, while more dent and water resistant. In combination with the class 33 commercial matt finish—Bjelin’s toughest to date—these floors are ideal for heavy-traffic areas such as hotels, offices, restaurants and shops.

Additionally, the leakproof 5G Dry floor locking system ensures a quick and waterproof installation without glue or nails, with watertight joints preventing water from seeping through the seams and damaging the subfloor.

The range is said to be made with responsibly sourced FSC-certified wood, and the high-quality production process enables 10x more flooring to be produced from each log.
