Florence, Ala.—As part of their Earth Day commitment, Centiva has donated 400 recycling bins to citizens here who have taken a pledge to recycle. The recycling bins were available at the WC Handy Music Festival to residents who were willing to take a pledge to make the world a better place by living a litter free lifestyle. They were asked to make recycling and waste reduction a habit for life, and pledged to be an example to family, co-workers, and friends by recycling in their home, school, or workplace.

Rachel Mansell, Education Outreach Coordinator for the City of Florence, Solid Waste, Street, and Recycle Department, stated, “We were excited to receive the bins from Centiva. Not only did it save the city money but, most importantly, it brought the need to recycle to the forefront of our minds at a fun, exciting local event like Handy Fest. We truly appreciate local companies like Centiva that are committed to making the world a healthier, safer place to live and work.”
