CHAGRIN FALLS, OHIO—Aimed at designers, the newly expanded Cortina Grande solid vinyl tile (SVT) from Johnsonite’s Azrock collection is now available with twice the number of color options.

The newly expanded SVT line consists of 50 color options with six coordinating slip resistant tiles, all in 16 x 16, 1/8 gauge tiles. These options combine all eight shades of Karim Kolors, seven previously offered Cortina Grande colors and 35 new colors. With shades that include the full color spectrum, Cortina Grande answers the color and design needs of a space while providing high-performance attributes required by any market segment, said company executives. Cortina Grande is ideal for the education and healthcare markets where there is heavy foot traffic.

With SVT construction, Cortina Grande is formulated with high binder content for superior durability and easy maintenance, which can leads to greater ROI. The tiles’ buffable finish allows upkeep with neutral cleaner and dry buffing, making it perfect for areas that do not receive constant routine maintenance. In addition to minimizing the product’s life cycle cost, Cortina Grande SVT has a low environmental impact by requiring less water, chemicals and energy for maintenance.

In keeping with Johnsonite’s “Balanced Choice” philosophy, Cortina Grande was developed to meet sustainable objectives through good raw materials, resource stewardship, creating people- friendly spaces and recycling/reuse. The tiles contain a minimum of 3% post-consumer recycled content, are manufactured in an ISO 14001 and 9001 facility and are FloorScore certified for Indoor Air Quality.

The new Cortina Grande SVT line is a part of Johnsonite’s integrated system and is designed to color coordinate with Color Essence and Azterra vinyl enhanced tiles (VET) as well as with Johnsonite transitions, finishing borders and other accessories for a complete balanced look. And, with Johnsonite’s Color Foundation System, Cortina Grande and all Johnsonite and Tarkett collection floors are guaranteed to be available in six core neutral palettes, so even when color trends change, there will always be options to match current designs.
