Fueled by the overwhelming response to its first webinar conducted by Marketing Mastery columnist Jim Armstrong on Aug. 8, FCNews has announced the launch of its Fall Webinar Series. The four webinars, which will be held monthly, are all designed to fine tune flooring dealers’ marketing techniques.

The next webinar, titled “Killer Marketing Strategies for Fall and the Holidays,” is scheduled for Thur., Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. EST. Hosted by FCNews associate publisher Dustin Aaronson and presented by Armstrong, the webinar will reveal strategies to keep your installation schedule packed this fall and holiday season, a Halloween marketing “trick” that will be a real “treat” for your cash register, how to create a surge of early Christmas customers and much more.

Remaining webinars for 2013:

•Creative Strategies to Grow Your Flooring Business in Any Market (October)

•How to Create a Zero Resistance Selling Environment (November)

•Business Plan 2014: How to Make 2014 Your Most Profitable Year Ever (December)

Actual dates and times will be determined shortly.

“This is exactly what FCNews is all about,” Aaronson said, “offering a free, creative way to help retailers better their businesses and, ultimately, sell more product.”

Armstrong has coached hundreds of flooring dealers across the U.S. and Canada, offering his unconventional marketing and selling strategies since 2007 when he launched the Inner Circle Club “Profit Explosion” marketing program for dealers. “The first step in the program is to identify how a retailer sells,” he said. Determining a marketing message, getting that message across to customers, and the nature of the message’s delivery are all crucial to the profitability and survival of a flooring store. “If you get your marketing strategies wrong, your advertising is doomed to fail with poor, mediocre results.”

The Aug. 8 webinar, which attracted a national audience, focused on quickly doubling traffic in a flooring store. The session included many creative ways to contact potential customers and draw them into retailer showrooms. Some of Armstrong’s suggestions in-cluded a strategy for getting prospects who checked out samples but didn’t return to the dealer and make a purchase, strategic marketing to past customers to increase repeat and referral business, and a referral strategy to turn already-booked installations into extra sales without any marketing costs.

“In these challenging economic times, floor covering retailers can benefit from any edge they can get,” Aaronson said. “We know there are thousands of dealers in the industry that could use help, but it’s amazing that so many aren’t proactive about changing. Hopefully they will take the hour to learn how to increase sales with the strategies Jim will share. The formula to success is to change with the times, and that is what Jim preaches to his listeners. We are hopeful the next webinar attracts even more attendees.”
