Scarborough, Maine — Harro Jakel, president of PanTim Wood Products, announced that Rick Knowles has been appointed vice president, sales and marketing for the company effective April 1.

“This move allows me to focus all of my energy on product development, an improved customer experience, and the growth strategy for the company,” Jakel said.  Knowles was previously a hard surfaces executive for Shaw Industries.

PanTim Wood Products has been representing three hardwood flooring mills from Indonesia and Thailand exclusively in the USA and Canada market for the last 20 years.  This exclusive representation allows joint investments, product development, sales and marketing of a wide range of solid and engineered hardwood flooring products to U.S. distributors.   PanTim Wood Products is currently focusing on development and sales of sustainable plantation hardwood products from South East Asia.
