San Diego, Calif.—Cali is rounding out the spring building season by adding new colors to its popular Cali Vinyl Longboards collection. The latest styles are said to be reminiscent of driftwood and satisfy current customer demand for lighter neutrals that are easy to design with. Three of the new colors—Coastline Cliff, Reefwood and Salty Strand—are available now, with the fourth shade landing this summer.

As the name suggests, Cali Vinyl Longboards offers extra-large dimensions with planks measuring 70 ⅞ inches long by 9 inches wide. The expanded rigid core boards (over 45% longer than the original Cali Vinyl planks) allow installations to go faster and create more open looking spaces, the company said.

The Longboards moniker also pays tribute to the coastal inspirations, which framed Cali’s origins 16 years ago. (The company was founded by two environmentalist friends while on a yearlong surf trip.) The collection is characterized by highly detailed wood grain imagery with natural hues and color variation. Longboards flooring also feels like hardwood, with specialized EIR knot and grain texturing that matches up with what you see, the company said.

Like all Cali Vinyl collections, Longboards are said to be 100% waterproof and can be installed in kitchens, bathrooms and below grade. An extra durable construction allows for easy cleaning thanks to a commercial-grade, 20-mil-thick, scratch-resistant wear layer—great for active families, pets and high traffic rooms, according to Cali.

A rigid SPC limestone composite core increases dimensional stability, allowing Longboards planks to be installed right out of the box without any acclimation, glue, nails or transition pieces. Attached acoustic padding lines each plank for quieter, better-insulated rooms.

Cali Vinyl Longboards are available here and through select flooring dealers across the country.
