Mohawk’s new ceramic, marble & natural stone looks for floors and walls

Orlando—Mohawk’s 2013 porcelain introduction, Bertolino, emulates the radiance of marble and natural stone by using a blend of three complementary shades and tones.  Additionally, the glazed wall tile has a high gloss finish, while the floor tile consists of a soft matte finish.

“Bertolino provides the dramatic look of natural stone with the easy installation and care features of ceramic tile,” said Roger Farabee, senior vice president of marketing, hard surfaces for Mohawk.  “It’s a look that attracts attention from even the most discerning buyers.”

To achieve this look, Bertolino utilizes Mohawk’s revolutionary Reveal Imaging technology. Mohawk pioneered this technology in 2009, and it quickly became one of the most sophisticated design application processes in the ceramic tile segment. It provides wide pattern variation, unmatched color definition and detailed veining for a one-of-a-kind realism that captures all of the facets and shading of natural stone. Products with Reveal Imaging technology offer highly natural looks such as slate and travertine without the added maintenance of porous stone, which is just one of many advantages to a tile product equipped with Reveal Imaging.

Mohawk further enhances the value of Bertolino with its new Tru-Edge technology. Tru-Edge technology eases installation and provides more design flexibility. Tru-Edge products mean each tile is rectified and modular, with accurate sizing and corner angles. This reduces the complexity of installing modular patterns, and allows for tighter grout joints than pressed tile. With Tru-Edge technology, tile alignment is simpler and patterns can have a sharper, more precise look.

Bertolino is 3/8” thick.  It is available in 12”x 12”, 18”x 18”, 12”x 24” floor tiles, plus 10”x 14” and 12”x 24” glazed ceramic wall tiles.
