Chicago –At NeoCon 2014, Mohawk Group took home eight awards in recognition of its highly styled products and revered associates.

Winner of the Contract Magazine’s Best of NeoCon Editors’ Pick Award for carpet modular, Mohawk’s Breaking Form Collection pushes past tradition, giving designers new approaches to color, shape, scale and movement. The collection was designed in collaboration with Mac Stopa of Massive Design, exploring bold lines and geometric patterns that transform the floor–a two-dimensional product–into something three-dimensional.

Additionally, the company took the spotlight at Interior Design Magazine’s inaugural HIP Awards at NeoCon 2014 with four wins and two honoree recognitions. Mohawk Group’s creative director Chris Stulpin and sales representative Susan Leath took home the top prize within their respective categories, and Mark Page, Durkan’s director of color and design, was named an honoree for design manufacturer.

The following Mohawk Group products also received accolades at the ceremony:

  • Cross-Market Versatility Winner: Hot & Heavy Loose-Lay LVT
  • Use of Color Winner: WHY Y LVT, designed in collaboration with Mac Stopa of Massive Design
  • Design Solution Underfoot Honoree: New Vintage Modular Carpet

Awarded during NeoCon 2014, Product Innovations is a showcase of offerings that exemplify how performance and aesthetics can enhance facilities management. Hot & Heavy, which was also the HD Expo resilient product design competition winner, took top prize within the Flooring Innovation category.

The company was also recognized for Simply Tailored, a woven collection of products designed in collaboration with Lauren Rottet, by the social media-driven Metropolis Likes competition.
