Bristol, Va.—Universal Fibers said it has entered into a licensing agreement with DuPont Industrial Biosciences to produce and market carpet fiber using DuPont Sorona polymer. 
The scope of the collaboration includes sales into the commercial, residential (outside the U.S.) and automotive market segments.

DuPont will provide its polymer to Universal Fibers for use in producing carpet fiber to be marketed and sold under the Universal Fibers brand with DuPont Sorona.
