HICKSVILLE, N.Y.—Effective Oct. 7, Floorbiz.com is no longer hosting stories and content produced by Floor Covering News. All proprietary information, articles and editorial will now be located exclusively on the FCNews’ website, fcnews.net.
“With the launch of our newly designed site last year, (FCNews, March 22/29, 2010), it became much easier for our readers to find our stories online,” said Mike Blick, publisher and president of Floor Covering News. “We’ve had a great relationship with FloorBiz over the last eight years. But, as our site has grown and we’ve worked out some of the kinks, we have found great response to our site and would like to continue to grow our traffic at fcnews.net.” All archives of FCNews columns, editorials and news stories can be found on fcnews.net or by contacting the magazine’s offices directly.
Floor Covering News’ site hosts news and happenings in the industry on its landing page, with daily updates for the most current and relevant information. Sections of the magazine are distributed through the Page 1, Editorial and Columns tabs, with original stories usually appearing under the Home category. The FCNews blog, with light-hearted, industry related posts has a running series, “What matters most,” that outlines how industry members are helping their communities. The site was also ranked 19th out of 168 blogs in the most recent Social Flooring Index survey.
