Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong Flooring launched three new luxury vinyl flooring collections, Biome, Terra and Coalesce, and refreshed its homogeneous sheet collections, Medintone and Medintech. Each LVT product features a 2.5mm structure with a 20-mil wear layer and each sheet collection is engineered for infection control, according to Armstrong. All collections feature the company’s patented Diamond 10 technology for scratch, stain and scuff performance.

The new luxury vinyl collections are designed to be recycled. The collections feature 29% pre-consumer material, and offer a 20-year commercial limited warranty when installed in accordance with the recommended adhesive and instructions, according to the company.

“We’re excited to add even more options to our 2.5mm LVT offering,” said Di Anna Borders, vice president, design. “New wood- and stone-inspired designs in rich, earthy colors complement textile visuals for three unique collections that can stand alone or work together beautifully. Additionally, these collections feature a new eased-edge treatment for easy maintenance and a low-gloss finish to complement each design and color.”

Amy Costello, sustainability manager, Armstrong added, “Proudly manufactured in the USA, these new collections feature a thinner profile, which requires less raw materials and energy to produce, resulting in a product with a 31% lower carbon footprint over our 3.2mm LVT. These collections are FloorScore certified for low emissions and contain 29% recycled content.”

The following are the new LVT collections.

Biome

Biome was designed to capture a connection with nature. The collection has seven wood designs and offers 38 colors in 6 x 48 and 9 x 48 planks.

“The new Medintone and Medintech collections offer a great variety of colors and patterns to meet new design trends,” said Yon Hinkle, vice president, product management. “Enhanced traction is an exciting new addition to these products. Diamond 10 Technology continues to be a no-polish, easy-to-clean solution that is designed to look beautiful for years to come despite daily maintenance and rigorous disinfection protocols.”
